I6. 125 who know that the fabbath should be kept holy, that ye Ihould pray in fecret, and in your families, that ye íhould not offend one another, c. beware of hazarding on thefe contrary to your light. 3d/y, Ir takes in, and fup: pofeth, that ye do nothing doubtingly ; for, RIlrn. i4. He that doubteth, and doth, is damned ; he is fentenced, and judged as to that particular 4tbly, It includeth this, to endeavour to be right in the manner of performing all duties, and to have a tingle end. It is not enough to pray, or to be in the pa Lice of any other commanded duty; that will not quiet the Confcience, if ye Rudy not to be right in the manner, and to do it for the right end ; the want of thefe requifite qualifications of acceptable duties, will make fuch things as are lawful on the matter, turn to be grounds of challenge from the Con- fcience. He that is of a merry heart hath a continual feafl; which is nothing elfe, but a heart cheerful in God, from the teftimony of a good Confci_ ence. And this is it, on the matter, which guardeth the heart and mind, fo that no cares can confiderably difquiet it,. as we have it, Phil. 4. 7. The heart is guard.,
