Iehovah will fight for you, and you (hall hold your peace. And Iehovah faid unto Mofes, Wherefore cryeft thou our un- to me ± Speake unto the fonnes of Ifrael, thatthey goe forward. And thou, lift up thy .rod, and ft retch out thy hand over the Sea, and cleave it : and the fonnes of Ifrael (hall goin to the midi" of the Sea,on drYgroend. And I, behold, I will make ftrong the heart of the Egyptians, and they (hall goe in after them : and I will bee honoured upon Pha- raoh, and upon all his army, upon his cha- rcts,and upon his horfemen.And the Egyp- tians (hall know that I am Iehovah, when I am honoured upon Pharaoh, upon his char - rets,and upon his horfc-mén.And the Angel or God,which went before the camp of If- rael, removed and went behind them and the pillars Of the cloud removed frombe- fore them , and flood behind them. And it came betweenc the Camp of theEgyptians, and the Campe of Ifrae!; and it was a cloud and darkneffe, and it made light the night : and the one came not neer the other all the night. And Moles $retched out his hand over the Sea; and Iehovah caufed the Sea to goe backe, by a ("tong Eaft_wind, all the night, and made the fea dry land : and the waterswere cloven. And the fonnes ofIf- rael went into the midff of the fea, upon the dryground : and the waters were a wall unto them, on their right hand and on their left. And the Egyptians followed , and went in after them,all Pharaohs horfes, his charets, & his horfe-men,into the mid(" of the Sea. And it was in the morning watch that Ieho- vah lookedunto the camp of the Egyptians in thepillar of fire, and of the cloud , and troubled the campe of the Egyptians. And tooke off theircharet .wheels, and led them heavily : and the Egyptians Paid, Let us flee from the face of Ifrael,for Iehovah fighteth for them , againft the Egyptians. And Ie- hovah faid unto Moles, Stretch out thy hand over the fea, & the waters fhal returne upon the Egyptian upon his charets,and up- on hishorfe -men. And Mofes ftretched out his hand over the Sea, and the fea returned to his ftrength , at the looking forth of the morning : and the Egyptians fled again(} its and Iehovah fhooke off the Egyptians into the midi" of the fea. And the waters retur- ned, and covered the charets and the horfe- men, with all the armie of Pharaoh that came after them, into the Sea: there re- mained not fo much as one of them. But the fonnes of Ifrael walked on dryland, in the midi" of the lea , and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, andon their left. And Iehovah faved Iírael in that day out of the hand of the Egyptians : and Ifrael faw the Egyptians dead upon the fea (Fiore.
