And they went up from the Tabernacle of Korah; Dathan, and Abiram, on every fide; and Dathan and Abiram came out and flood in the doore of theirTents, and their wives, and theirfonnes,and their littleones. If thefe mendie,as allmen die,and they be vifi- ted after the vifitation ofall men , Iehovah bath not fent me. But if Iehovah create a new thing , and the earth open her mouth,and fwallow up them,and all that ap- pertains unto them , and they goe down a- live unto hell; thenye (hall know,that there men have provoked Iehovah. And it was as hehad made anend of fpeaking all there words, that the ground claveafunder which was under them. And the earth opened hermouth,andfwallowedup them and their houfes,and all the men that appertainedunto Korah, and all their fubftance. And they, and all that appertained unto them, went downe alive unto hell : and theearth doled upon them and they perifhed from among the Church. And all Ifrael that were round about them , fled at the voice ofthem : for they faid ,Left the earth fwallovupus. And a fire came forth from Iehovah, and devou- red the two hundred & fiftiemen that offe- red incenfe. And Iehovah fpake unto Mofes , laying; Speake unto Eleazar the forme of Aaron the Prieft, that he take up the cenfers out ofthe burning ; and fcatter thou the fire yonder, for they are hallowed.. The cenfers of thefe finners againa their éwne foules,and let them make thembroad platesfor a covering ofthe Altar;for they offered them beforelehovah, and they are hallowed, & they (hall be for a fignesinro the fonnes of Ifrael. And Eleazar the Prieft tooke the brazen cenfer, which they that were burnt had offered, and they were madebroad plates ,for a covering of the Altar. And Moles 43 and Aaron came before the Tent of the congregation. And Iehovah fpake unto Moles laying; 44 Get you up fró among this congregation; & 45 I will confutne them as in a moment : and they fell upon their faces. And Moles Paid 46 unto Aaron; Take the center , and put fire thereon from offthe Altar, and put an in- cenfe, and goe quickly unto the congregad- on,& make atonement for them:for fervent wrath is gone out from before Iehovah, the plague is begun: And Aaron tooke as 47 Mofes had fpoken, and ranne into the midff ófthe Church , and behold the plague was begun among the people: andhe put on in- cenfe , and made atonement for the people. And he flood betweene the dead and the 48 living , and the plague was flayed. And 49 they that died in the plague,were fourteen thoufand and liven hundred , befide them that died about the matter of Korah. And Aaron returned untoMofes , unto the doors of the Tent of the congregation, and the plague was flayed. Annotations.
