1086 Book.V. Looking unto1ef~«. Chap.1.Sett.9 to have fome glimpfes of his glory fhining on us, and fome drops of his favour diftilled into us, oh but when God lha!l be our all in all, we lhall have as muc-h of God as our fouls can hold, , we lhall have the glory of God fo poured in, till we lhall be able t!) receive no more. i\nd here is that whic-h gives the foul a full JatisfaCl:ion; never would it be fatisfied till it came to this ; fup. pofe that God fhould draw out all the beauty, fw·eetneffe , goodneffe that he hath ·communicated to all creatures in the world and bring the quinteffence ofall, and communicate that unto th~ foul ofone poore Saint, certainly it would not ferve the turne, there muft be a greater communication before the foul be fully fatisfied and refl: .content ; only once admit it .into the glorious prefence of him who is all in all, 'and prefently it expires it's infinite deGre into the bofome of that God; for there's enough to fill his fpirit; he cannot deGre fo much.., but there is more, and yet infinitely more; if there be enough in God for che fpirits of all juft men made perfect with God, if there be enough in God for Angels whofe capacityes are greater than the Saints, if there te enough in God for Jefus Chrift, whofe capacity is yet far wider than the Angels, if there be enough in God for God himfelf, whofe capaCltV is infinitely greater than them all; then there mufi needs be fatisfattion enough in God to any one poore foul. And indeed what can we imagine to be in heaven, which· is not eminently in God himfelf? if it be great. nef.~, and power, and glory, and victory, and majefty, all-thefe are his; if it be joy,or love, or peace, or beauty, or any thing amiable or dcfirable , all thefe are in hir.n.
