T~at the things communtcated to our mward man (I meane thofe mward motions, and fugge£lions to holineffe and obedience) are frequently and ufually by theadmini£lration ofAngels. 2. That the fame things communicated tq our inward man, :1re ever originally and primarily from the Spirit ofChri£l; and hence it is that commonly we put them all on that fcore, we give them all to Chri£ls Spirit. 3. That •cis proper to the Spirit to enlighten the underftanding and to determine the will effect-ually, the Angels are l•Jt cifterns, the Spirit is the fountaine; the At'lgels may fpeak and move us to our duties, but the bleffing, the efficacy is of the Spirit; and in this refpect we leave to Clilri£l and his Spirit the tzfl in all. 1 Well then, 0 my foul, coafider ( efpecially in Church-aifemblies, and in the enjoyment of ordinances) the efpecial prefence ofChrift, in the pre rence of his Spirit, and in the prefence of his Angels : what ? doft thou feele any ftirringg, actings, movings in thy fpirit? doll: thou feele any quickening, warming, feeding, cbq.ifhing, healing, mollifying, melting, comforting, ftrengthning.~n thy inward parts? fay then, furdy the Gcn; ~g 16 ,.
