We multi moderate our Principles or tudgenents concerning thefe,by forming them according to the nature of truths and duties. This is need= fary,notonly in regard of our felves, (for as the 3udgment,fuch is the pra &ice ; ) but others alto, for the moderating our prejudices towards them. We mull therefore carefully diffinguifh between matters of faith and neceffary duty,and matters of opinion and conditional pra- Ctice. For though every ray of truth be excellent in it fell, & ahfolute- ly there be no minimum in religione,as the Heathen faid ; yet compara- tively there is great difference in truths, force differing from others, as one fiar from another, in glory. Nor have all the like clearnefs of reve- lation, nor Thine forth with that lufire as others ; nor all alike conic- quence.
