Carnal Sins , which the Soul immerft in Flefh indulges, all rio- tous Exceffes, Intemperance, Inconti- nence, and the like, of which a meer Spirit is not capable, denominates Men the Captives and Slaves of Satan. Nov Spiritual Sins induce a greater guilt, and deeper pollution than Carnal. The : ex- acier refemblance of the evil one, makes finful Men more odious to God. 2. Love is more extenfive in its influ- ence, than Faith and Hope ; their ope- rations are confin'd to the Periön in whom they are.
