This intenfenefs of Love is fignified by Loving our neighbours gis our Jelves : in fimilitude and likenefs. How ardent are our defires, and earneft our endea- vours for our Temporal Happinefs ? and principally (if we are inlightned) for our Eternal Happinefs. Accordingly we Mould be affeaed and diligent for pro- curing the prefent and future Happinefs of others. How vigilant and ac`ive are we to prevent imminent and def}ruEive Evils that threaten us here, but fpecially if we are Serious and Confidering, to efcape from the Wrath to come : we Mould be proportionably careful to refcue, others from Temporal or Spiritual Evils to which they are obnoxious. How jea- lous are we of our own Reputation, how unwilling to incur Cenfure, to have our Faults aggravated, and to bear the Prints of Infamy ?
