Hope is the great fpring of actions in this World ; it enters into all our defigns, and mixes with all our endeavours. The Husbandman ploughs in all the Frofts and Snows to which be is expofed, in hopeof a fruitful Harvefta The Mariner fails through dangerous Seas , often inrag'd with Storms and Tempefts, and among Rocks and Sands, for a hopeful Venture. Howmuch more should the Hope of Heaven make us wive and ardent in feeking for it ; con-, fidering we have infinitely greater fecu- rity of obtaining it, the Word of God, and the Object is above all comparifon with the things of this World. Here the wiled and moíf diligent are uncer- tain to obtain their Ends, the trifles which they earneftly expeE , and are certain after a while to lofe them ó But if we in the firfít place leek the Kingdom of God, we Ihall certainly obtain it, and 5tis unforfeitable for ever.
