For the Minifler in queifion is only AChriJiL n c Hider: and therefore hemuft be a Chriffían, & aligsaid amplius by profeflion. 2.It is therefore Neceffary that he Profefs and feem to ünder- fland and Believeall the Articlesof the faith, that are eí%ntial to Chriflianity, and donot heretically deny any one ofthefe (what ever hedo by inferiour Articles. ) 3. He muff be one that is able to preach the Gofpel : that is, in fome competent manner, to make known the Effentials of Chriflianity : or elfehe cannot be a Minifler at all. .}.He mull be onethat underflandeth the Effentials ofBaptifm, and is able to adminifler it ( Though the ac`lual adminiflration be not alway neceffary. ) 5. He muff underftand the Effentials ofa particular Church and profefs to allow of filch Churches as Gods Ordinance, or elfe he cannot be the Pallor ofthem. 6. He muft Profefs to Value and Love the Saints, and their communion : Or elfe he cannot be a Minifler for the communion ofSaints. 7. Hemull Profefsand feem to underfiand, believe, and ap- prove ofall the Ordinancesof Chrifl which are of Necety to Church communion. 8. And he muff be tolerably able to difpenfe and admini- fler thofe Ordinances : Or elfe he is not capable of theoffice. 9.
