Latv,that no King fhall reign but by mynomination,approbation or Coronation. And if any man under pretenceof Ordaining, do let up a man that wants theQualifications which Chrift hath made neceffary to the Being of the Miniftry, his Ordination is Null, as being without Power, and againít that Will of Chrift that only can give Power. And fo of the refi ofthe, particulars forementioned : Where the Lawbath already determined, they have nothing to do but obey it. And though the rnifcarria- gesof a man in his own calling donot alwaies rullifiehis ads, yet all that he doth quite out of the lineof his Office are Nullities. Sed. 14. We tee then that all that the Law bath left to the Ordainer is but this : In General, toDifcern and judge ,of the perfon that isQualifieel according to the Defcriptionof the Law; and particularly to callhimout to the work, if he need excite- ment, and to Tryand Approve him, before he be admitted,and to Invell him, or fòlemnize his admittance, at his entry. So that the turn of all is, but to find out the qualified perfon, becaufe he is not named by the Law. Sed. 15. And even in this the Ordainers are not the only Difcerners,or Judges; but the perfonhimfelf,the People and the Magiftrates, have all the forementioned parts in the work. And God himfelf goes before them all, and by providence frequently points themout theman whom they are bound to chooíe, Or- dain, accept and fubmit unto : and that by thefe particular ads. Sed. 16. I.
