Were there no Ordainers to do that office,or none but fuch as would oblige us to fin, it were Gods regular way to 'enter by the Peoples choice and the Magiflratesauthority with. out them, this being in fuch cafe the opendoor : therefore it is more evidently Gods Regular way when we have both axle and the bell: Miniflerial Ordination betides that is on good terms to be had. I do not only here plead that fuch a Minifiry is not Null (as I did before)but that theentrance in fuch a cafe is not finfull. Sec`f. 83. There being nothing left to men herein,but felt due defignation ofthefperfon (before the reception of his power fromGod) the Peoples Eledion it felf may ferve for that de. fignation, whereMiniflerial Approbation is not to be had. That thepeople have power ofElec`f on , when jug authority ( Civil or Ecclefialical ) doth not fufpend it or limit it, is fo eafily proved that it is commonly confeffed. Its well known that for many hundred years the people had in moll or many Churches the Choice of their Bifbops or Paflors, or joyned with the Presbyterie and Ordainers in the choice.
