When Magiffrates therefore are difpofed to punifh men for croffing their wills in the mattersof God, it neerly concerns them to look aboutthem, and take heed firfr what they punifh them for, and then, with what kind ofpunifhment they do it. If it be Good andnot Evil that men are punífhed for, it is perfecu- tion. If it be really evil either its great or final', publick or private, &c.
