(as Gods effential principles, and his forefaid Relations, arc admirably conjunct in their operations ad extra , fo) our Re- lativeobligations are conjunct, yet are they fo far difiinguifh- able, that we may fay, that theft which conjunâly make our Moral duty, yet are not all the refults of our Relation to a Go- vernourc as fucb ; but the fecond only; and therefore that on- ly is to be called the Radical Law in the arid fenfe, the other two being the Moral refults ofour Rectitude. Thedutyoffal, jeEhíonandobedience in general, anfing from our Natures re- lated to our Creator, is the radical governing Law of God in us. But yet the fame fulmifon, and gratitude, and love, which arc primarily our duty from their proper foundations, arc fccondarilymade alto the matter ofour fubjective duty, be- caufe they are alto commanded of God. 2. The particular Laws of Nature are a. Ofour particular duties to God ; or of Piety : z. Or of our duties to our (elves and others : a. Ads of Juflice, 2. And ofCharity. lhcfe Laws of Na- ture are r. 7Jnalterable; and that is, where the nature ofour perlons, andof the objcds, which arc the foundations of there are unalterable, or (till the fame : 2. Or mutable, when the Nature of the things which are its foundation, is mutable. The introductive Teaching part (for Gods teaching us, is part of his ruling us) and that is, Doctrines, Hi- limy and prophecy. 2. The Imperative part, commands to de, andnot to do. 3.
