It teacheth us, what it is that the eyeofour Faith fhould principally refpeót,and look upon in Chrift; vq Theblood ofChrift, the croffe ofChrift, the obedience and fufferingsof Chrift; in a word, Chrift crucified, that is the fubjeft that our Faith muff take holdon : Chrift crucified, is the object of our knowledge, 1 Cor. 2. 2. the matter of our rejoycing, Gal. 6. 14. the ground and foundationof our Faith, Rom.3.2 5. It is a world ofheavenlycomforts,that a fpirituall miede may gather unto himfelf, in the due meditation, andbeholding the death of Chrift. When we think of Chrift crucified , and fhedding ofhis blood, therewe may fee; 1. Our fins punifhed to the full. 2. Our fins pardoned to the full. 3. Our finscrucified and mortified by his blood. 4.
