The Covenant is the ground on which Baptifme is bottomed, o- therwife Church- Memberfhip would evince no title either in In. fants, or in men of years to Baptifme ; But the Covenant (as we have proved) is entred with men of Faith; not laving, and there- fore to them Baptifme is to be adminiftred. How the cofequent can be denied by thofe that grant the Antecedent ; Baptifme de- nied in foro Dei, to men íhort offaving Faith , when they are in Covenant, I cannot imagine; yet fome that confeffe their inter - eft in the Covenant, deny their title to Baptifine; and affirme, If men be once taught that it u a Faith, that h fhort of juit i yang and favin Faith, which admitteth men to Baptifme ; it will make foule work in the Church. (t.) All that bath been faid for the latitude of the Covenant, may fitly be applied in oppofition to this Tenent, for the like la- titude of Baptifme, (2.)
