Suppofe one ofyou hadbeen among the Difciples, when the Lord Chriit wath't his Dilciples feet ; and he fhould have come, and wath't your feet, and have done it; would not your heart have glowedwith love to Jefus Chrin ? Yet when the Lord Jefus Chria wafh't his Difciples feet, it was in the dales ofhis fleth, whenhe was hereon the earth : but now he is in glory, and yet for all this, he takes your dirty prayers, and does (as it were) wafh the feet of,your prayers, that he may prefent them to God the Father : he wallies your tears overagain in his blond, and prefents them to God the Father : he takes all your Duties, and perfumes them with his interceflions, and fo prefents them unto God the Father. Oh ! what caufe have we to love Jefus Christ! Oh ! you, that never lovedChaff, love him now ; and you that have loved him before, love himmuch more vo that fear the Lord, love the Lord : and let us all, even go awaywithour hearts warmed with this love, biding, and praifing the Name of the Lord.
