Here the faith called for, is both faith of Mira- cles, and a juflifying faith too : a faith of miracles, it is brought in upon occalion ofthis miracle, Chrift fayes if he hath faith, he fhall not only do this but he than remove mountains. But here is ajuflifying faith alfo intended, for he (ayes, Havefaith in God, (at the 2z verfe) fo you reade it. But in the margent ofyour Bible, it is, have faith of God; when as the Scripture fpeakes ofa juflifying faith, it ufes to fpeak in fuch an expreffion as this, So Paul fayes, I live by Galz.I9. thefaithofthefon ofgod, fpeaking ofjuftifying faith, not by faith in theSon of God. So in Rev. 14. 'tis called the faith of7eftu : and then it feemes to run very largely, fomewhat too largely, if it wereonly a miraculous faith, faithofmira- des that were here intended. So that I take it, both are here intended : one primarily, the other fecondarily.
