An hypocrite may love to be healed by Chi if', and to be pardon- ed by Chrifi, and to be fa ved by Chrift, & c. but he can never take any complacency in the perfon of Chrift, his heart never ferioufly works after union with Chrift. The love of a fin- cere Chriftian runs much out to the perfon of Chrift, hea- ven it felf without Chrift, would be to fuch a foul but a poor hil. T. zit. Cant. No hypocrite in the world is fincerely willing to receive Chrift in all his Offices, and to clofe with him upon Gofpel terms. The terms upon which / Sohn It, 13. Now mark, a whole Chrift includes all his Offices, & a whole heart includes all our faculties : Chrift as Mediator is King,Prieft and Pro- phet, and fo God the Father in the Gofpel offers him. Sal- vation was too great and too glorious work to be perfected and compleated by any one office of Chrift. Chrift as a Pro- phet inftruas uc,and as a Prieft he redeems us,and intercedes for us, and as a King he fanaifies and faxes us.
