336 LIVES OF THE PURITANS. three years and anhalf are come, the Prophecies of Scripture will not be understood concerning the duration and period of the Fourth Monarchy and kingdom of the Beast. Then, secondly, when that Time shall come, before the expiration, the Knowledge of the End will be revealed," 1657. . To this work are prefixed two prefaces, one by Mr. Christopher Feake, the other by Mr. John Rogers, both zealous fifth monarchy-men. The latter styles him, an " aged brother and companion in tribulation," and "this old sufferer and standard against the prelates and tyrants, old and new."
