S. rings of Chri(? , do not exclude His Obedience; fo neither do they exclude the Imputation of His Obedience, in order CO our juftification , and re- ceiving a Right to glory : yea they make our being conílitut&Zighteous, an Effea of His Obedience; & Righteoufnefs or Righteous-making is accom- panied with juflification. So that though the Scriptures (peak fometimes more exprefly of the Sufferings, & fometimes more exprefly of the obedience of Chriff, according ro the exigence of the etandled ; yet both are infe- parable , as a caule; & fo is our Righteoufnefs & Juliification infeparable, as the full Effect. C H A P. IX. Other paflâges of the N. T. briefly mentioned , which plead for this Imputation of Chrifl:s Righteoufnefs. THere are other pafrages of Scripture, befide thefe mentioned , in the preceeding chapter , andagainfl which I finde no Exceptions made by Mr. Goodwine, in the forecited Book , which yet do with no fmall clearnefs and fulnefs of evidence plead for the truth which we owne , to wit , The Imputation of the Righteoufnefs of Chriff unto Be- leevers , in order to their Juftification.
