That through grace, and the Lord's great love and wífdotn after -fins are fò far from deftroytng their State and Right to the inheritance , that upon thecontrare-, they.are ordered to the Juilified man s good , and further eftablíshment in grace ; not that fin it felt- hath any fuLh natural tendency ; but it is by accident to fin , which is fo ordered by the wife difpofal of a loveing Father, making all things work together for good , and thus lcounter-working Satan without , & Corruption within, making that, which Satan had defigned to their ruine and deftruftnon , con- tribute to their good & advantage by giving f them fresh oçcaon , of exer- cifirg Humility & Repentance , & of Renewing their gripping of Chrift by Faith , '& of Watching more with Dil,gence here - after; as alto hereby they are put to fearch & examine themfelves , to cry their Rights & Sectrities, & thus to make their calling & eledionfure, to their further eflablishment & comfort in the Holy Ghoft. S. Thus we fee whatever prefent alteration after fins, not yet taken to Chrift, to the end they may be pardoned through his blood, do , or can make , as to the prefent Condition of the juflified ; yet their State remai- neth firme, & unshaken ; for thereby they fall not againe under the old Covenant ; nor under the fentence thereof, nor under pure Law wrath, pure Juftice & the Curie of abroken Covenant ; but being under Grace ,& not under the Law , they are fecured as to Condemnation Rim. S: z. &as to the lots of the favour & friendship of God 1Zom. S: 3 5,-39. for not only is the guilt of Original fin , & of all their preceeding Atuahfins taken away, through faith in Chrift , when they were juffified , but there is a fine way coindefcended upon betwixt Jehovah &the Mediator, how their after -fins shall be Pardoned , & taken out of the way, & the -fame method and way is declared in the Gofpel , & made fore by the Covenant of Grace : and by their being in the Covenant, they have a right unto the promifes thereof, and ground to preis for th-e performance ; & fo for Remifiion , & for all things requifite thereunto, or following thereupon ; yea they have a fuse pledge of Remiflïon already , to wit, the aítual Pardon of what is pall ; and their paff Juffificatìon ; that is a comforting & fIren'gneningword Rpm. ç: 9, ¡o. much more then being now. jußifred by his bleud we shall be Paved from wrath through him ; for if when me are enemies , we were reconcile -,t to God , by the death of his Son; much more being reconciled , we shall be Ja'ved by his life & fo is that Rpm. S: 3z. He that feared not his own font, but delivered him up for us all; hotu shall he not with him al fo freely give us all things ? 9. We may add.e , That if fins, afterward committed, could takeaway Juftífication , then.theÿ should alto take away Adoption , & Regeneration; & fo the juffified man should by after fins, not only become an unjuflified znan; but alto the child of God should become againe the childe of the devil, & the Relation should be quite broken off, & he, who was horn, againe , should return unto his former (late of black Nature : & thus there should be a fecond , & a third, sea & multiplied Regeneration ; whereof the Scripture is'filent , nay it clearly depones the contrary. xo.
