True becaufe beleeving in him , as a Ruler , & belee- ving inhim as the juftifier of beleevers, are both to beleeve in him, as a King And this is not the thing that is denied , Beleeving in Chriti , as the juftifier of beleevers , is not the fame with beleeving in him , as a Prieft , in order to juffification , which is the thing , he should have Paid here, if be would have fpoken to the purpofe. tVhat he faith (n. I ìo.) concerning Faith's being the ad of the whole foul, "& having for its object God , the Father , Son ee Holy Ghoff & in Chrift , all that is effential to him , as a Saviour , was granted , & afferted an by us formerly : but it maketh nothing to our prefent quettion. Thefe , are but angry words, carry with them no force of reafon : And who is moft guilty of vainedittin- guishing & of falfifying the doCtrine\of Faith & Juftification &e. he, or inch as he oppofeth in this matter , indifferent perfons are at freedom to jud- ge : And whether his new Dofttine , or the old, which he fo violently, in all his wrictings, oppugneth, hash more of feeming fubtility in it, to the wronging of the Church,- in its peace & quiet, every one may judge by the effe&s.
