Vfe. if the Kingdom of Chrift be not of this world, but of another ; then hence wecollect the abfolute necefïi- ty of living by faith, Chriftians had need thenhave a prin- cipile offaith to live by, for their greaten good is in things that arebeyond thisworld, their very King that they obey is a King that cannot be feen by the eye offence, nor by the eye of reafon, they had need have an eye offaith to be- hold their King in his glory : TheThrone of this King of Saints is not a vifìble Throne to be feen by the eye of fence, and reafonbut by the eye offaith. The priviledges that we fpake of, are not to be feen and enjoyed by fence and reafon, but by faith. And fo. the. Ordinances of this Kingdom, and the Laws and Statutes of it, they are fpiritual, and muff have faith to clofe with them, and all the comforts of this kingdom mull be drawn in by faith, therefore it is of abfolute ne- cef itythat the Saints fhould exercife much faith in their lives, that they íhould live continually by faith ; As the A- poftle faith in z Cor. 5.7 For we walk,by faith, andnot by fight; It is not by fight we walk; indeed all the gpod things that there are in the kingdomes of the world they are feen by fence and reafon. reafon and fence is enough to order us in the matters of the kingdoms of this world : but now the kingdom of the fon of God that we are tran- flated into, it is a Spiritual!, an Heavenly kingdom, fo that the Saints muff walk by faith, and not by fight therefore my breathren labor to ftrengthen faith, and act your faith, and live upon faith, exercife faith in all your waies, make much of grace and faith or you will never have Cc much z$5
