Say to your hearts Lord I fee that fetling of the heart aright upon Chrift for juftification and pardon of fin, is another manner of bufinefs than I was aware of, and I am perfwaded that if I had died before, I fhould certainly have dyed under Tome of thefe mifl;akes ; Lord, fettle my heart aright in this great bufinefs. Do not go away with fuch thoughts as thefe ; the Ninifter fpeaks of fuch miftakes, but I hope it is far otherwife ; do not venture to put off what we fay with fuch flight thoughts ; when we fpeak unto you we fpeak in the Name of God , and it is a horrible taking of the Name of God in vain, if we examine not what we fay unto you by the Word ; And therefore know you are charged this day in the Nameof God to look to it, and to examine your hearts what grounds you go upon for the pardon of your fin, that you may not mift-ke ; in which we (hall give you force further help in laying down force pofitive grounds that you may reft upon for the pardon of your fin.
