God as Crea- tot Both not take beleevers fo as to bring aifliclions upon them, but he gives them up to Chrift, It's Chrift thy King that doth correct him, and the atfiiaions being within this kingdome, they are of another nature then the evills that are inflicted upon thofe that are under the kingdome ofGods power : Now the evills that are inflicded upon inch for their fin, they come from revenging wrath ; But the evil; that are inflicted upon thofe that are brought into this kingdome, they are inflicted upon them byebrttl the Mediator and to come to them in another way, fo that there is aboundance of:bletfednefle in be- ing g within this kingdome : Thirdly, And then further, From hence thou hail pro:eaîi -: on, though thoú beeft poore and meane in thy felfe, tkou haft Jefus Chrift the Son of God that undertakes to prote& thee, ro deliver thee from evill , and to fupply thee in all thy wants : that's the work of a King, and thofe that are fubjetds in a kingdome, they have a great_deale of benefit in the pro - teólion of the Governour of that kingdome, and for any man to be in a kingdome and to be denyed the protection, is a great mifery : Now there are none in the Kingdome of Chrill, that Chrift will deny the benefit of proteion, but protes them all, and provides for all within his kingdome. Indeed Kings of the earth may leave the protection of their Subjects, and if they fhould deny protection to their Subjects, there is fome other help for them to protea themfelves fame whet way : but there is noprotelion to the Saints but onely by this their King : Fourthly, And all provifhons necelfary,a King loth not take cognifance of every family, but Chrift doth take cognifance to provide for every particular foule. Fifthly , In this kingdome Chrift undertakes to fubdue all the enemies that are againfl thy fpirituall and eternal! good : Chrift is thy King, and either he muff bofe his power or fairh- fulneffe, either of which he will not do,therefore he mull fub- duethy enemies, he will fubdue Sin,and Dearh,and the Devil, yea and all the enemies of the Church (hall at length be fub- dued.
