r Wayes wherein god reveals himfelfe to the foule. foule ; For the foule of Man it is capable of an immediate joy - ning with God. You will fay, Gods beeing and elíence is infinite, and mans foule is but,finite, -I but yet there may be an immediate Con - jundion between an infinite and a finite thing : As now the foule of jefus Chrill that was God -man, why his foule was but a finite thing, a creature, and yet what a Conjun&ion had-the foule of Chrifl with the Divine nature ; For there was an hu- poflaticall uniottweenboth foule and body of Chrifl, and' the Divine nature. Therefore now, the finiteneffe of the foule of man cloth not hinder an immediate touch ( as I may fo fpeak ) with the infinite beeing of God himfelfe : And it is capable of a more immediate -revelation of God himfelfe, then we are able to exprefle or conceive ; But that fhall be moll hereafter, the immediate revelation of God. Onely for the prefent there is fomewhat of that Glory that there 1hail be in heaven, it's begun here in the world ; As now, the union with God, or communion with God that (hall be in heaven ; There is fome degree of it here in this world ; And fo the beatificall vifion of God.The very touch and clofe of the foule with the efience of God that fhall be in heaven, there is foine degree of it even here in this world, in the fight of God , but we are not able to expreffe ir. As the eye of a man, though it fees other things, yet it cannot fee it felfe ; fo the foule of a man, though it ad upon God, yet it cannot tell the way of its aling; They cannot tell how they fee God,but this they know that they fee God orherwayes then ever they did. As that poore man faid;.
