There's no Parent that begets a child, but the parent makes the child partaker of his life. Now the very life of God doth confift especially in his holinelie, in the acting to himfelfe as the higheft end of all things. Seventhly, A child of God' bath the Spirit of God com- municated to him; chat you have in thofe former Scriptures, Rom. 8. 14, i ç, 16 verles, We are led by the Spirit being Sons. And therefore we have received the Spirit of Adoption whereby we cry Abba Father : And in that fore-named place, Gal: 4.6. Recaufe ye are Sons , God bath fent forth the Spi- rit ofbis Son into your hearts, crying Abba Father. I remember in one of the Gofpels Chrift faith, How much more (hall your hea- venly Father give good things to them that aske him. The other bath it ; How much more fhall your heavenly Father give the Spirit to themthat as!e rt ; As noteing the Spirit of God hath all good things in it ; O bleffed are they that are partakers of the Spirit of God ; That are not aêted and carryed on by their own spirits, but by the Spirit of God. Eighthly , The priviledge of Gods children is, that they have protection from God, God as their Father doth provide for them, and protea them. If any of your children be in any danger, what doe they doe, but run to their Father or Mother, and complain to their Father, and the Father according to Lis power, he will protet his children ; and fo there is a natu- ral! r
