That when the A I kof God is in danger of being loft, the peo- ?le of God have thoughtful heads and trembling hearts. Or if I may put this Do&rine into a Gofpel dreffe, take it thus: That when the Gofpel is in danger ofloling, when Gofpel Ordinances are in danger ofbeing loft, and the Gofpel-Minifters in danger of lofing., :hat then thepeople of God have trembling heads, and careful andfolict- toss hearts about it. Mark what I fay ; I fay not, when the Ark is loll ; for that was death to old Ely, that broke his neck; and it coil the life of Ely's daughter-in-Law, when the Alt of God was taken, fhe took no com- fort in her child, though a man-child, the regarded it not : For the glory is departedfrom Ifrael, the ArkofGod is taken.
