Chap. 2. An Expofition upon the Bock.°! 10B. v Nr eri 5 with them ; Balak was not difcouraged or put off, but (faith the Text ) Balak fens yet again Princes more and more ho- ,nourable, Numb. za. 15. Let not us be difcouraged if our firft prayers (which are our meffeUgers to God) are not anfwered But let us fend more and more honourable, more firong cryes, more fpiritual delires, which may take upon the heart of God. Why íhould Satando more againft us, then we will do for our felves ? Thirdly,Notc that for our own caution,That we muft not only cxped continued or renewed afflidiions and affaults from Satan, but wemuff expert greater andgreaterafflictions and alTaults from Satan. He hath force affaults that are but as Foot-men, he will bring out his Horf-menat the nextbout ; And ifhaving run.with Foot-men,they havewearied thee, howwilt thou contendwithHorfs?
