The openedBare is an underfianding care. Thirdly , God openeth the care whenhe caufeth us to believe what we perceive and underfland. As faith fets the whole foule aworke for God, fofaith is the great worke of God upon the foule. When the Bare is opened, truth is not only knowne , but favingly believed. Fourthly , This openingof the Bare maketh the foule obedi- ent Jefus Chrill in that great prophecy of hen ( Pfal: 4o. 6. ) to Phew his ready obedience to his fathers command , faith, Mine Bare haft thouopened. ( or digged ) The care of Chrifl was never Phut in the leaf+, either through ignorance or unbeliefe r but heis fayd tohave his Bare opened, only to thew his confiant preparednefs and readinefs for obedience. He came into the world with an open care toall the will of God and therefore it followeth in the 7th and8thverfes of that Pfalme, Thenfaid I, loe I come, in thevolumeof thybook" it is 'written ofme, Idelight to doe thy will, O my God, yea thy law is within my heart. Chrift is brought in by another Prophet fpeaking to the fame poynt with force little variety, but withvery great fignificancy of exprefïì- on (Ifa: o. 4, 5. ) He wakeneth morning by morning , hewake- neth aline tare to heare as the learned ; wè dually fay, Sleep is in the eye, yet this prophecy intimates a'fleep in the Bare, thou haft wakened mine care. What we are to underfland by this wakenedBare, is cleare in the next words of the fame prophecy, The Lord bathopenedmine care, that's the wordof Eliphaz, and the confequence of opening the Bare, fet downe in the Prophet, is the fame now given in this poynt, The Lord bath opened mine rare, and Iwas not rebellion. He doth not. fay, The Lord ope- ned mine Bare, and I heard, but, I was not rebellious ; that is,I gave up my felfe toobey the word or command , which I heard.
