Injuftice is wickedneffe againft God, who commandetk us to juft, and it is wickedneffe againft man , who is alwayes wronged by injuftice. Secondly , As to that particular which Elihu chargeth yob with. Note. If the Lordfheuld not reward thofe that ferve him,, and delight in him , he were unrighteous. ( Heb: 6. To. ) Cod is not unrighteous to forget your labour of lave ; He is not unrighteous to forget it , that is, not to recom- pence it; by forgetting it , hed®th not mearse the letting of it flip out of his mind,but the not makinga due returne to it,or the not giving it a juft reward. It is unrighteoufneffe inGod not to reward thofe who ferve him, becaufehe bath promifed toreward then. Say to the righteous, itfhall be well with him (Ifa: 3. ro.) 'I he promifes run to it, all the Scripture over ; and as itwould be unrighteoufneffe in God not to reward thofe that dowell ; fo trot to pardon them that have done ill when they confeffe their evill deeds, becaufe he bath promifed to pardon them ; and therefore the Scripture faith (r john r. 9.) The Scripture doth not fay, he is merciful( to forgive us our fins,, ( though mercy aót to the kiigheft in the forgivenefs offin )' but he is faithful! and juft to forgive us our fns ; and the reafon why the Scripture faith fo, is becaufe forgivenefs of fin(incafe of confefíion) is under a pro- knife. Theffrong God, the mightyGod, neither loth nor can doe any unrighteoufneffe or iniquity. I fay,he neither dothnor can doe iniquity. Godcandoe no ini- quity, becaufe in him there is none.
