Hypocrites are much in praying, efpecially in tunes of profperity, yet here he faith, They cry not when he bindcth them, that is, in the day of advert ty. Hence Obfetve ; That which is not done sprightly, will not be done con/lonely. Hypocrites cry to God only in (hew at bell-, and when 'cis heft with them ; but when they fall into a troubled condition, they crynot, they even lay down their thew ; they throw up their duties, when they rnifs their deter es. They who have prayed often in a time of profperity, not throwing away their tins, com- ing into affliction they throw away their prayers. Prayer will forfake them, who forfake God while they pray.
