Hence Note ; Fitt} , God, who delivereth his people from trouble, or out of fireights, cyan al fofill and fisnifh themwith comforts. The mercy of God Both not only take away evil, and fo leave ti;, it dothnot onlybring us out ofour freights, and there fet us down ; but mercy proceeds to the beflowing of good upon us. As we in obedience Mould not put of} the Lordwith abflaining from evil, but ought todo good, even abundance of good, and nor only bring forth good, but much good fruit ; that's our duty ; fo the Lords mercy flayeth not in delivering us from evil, but befoweth good things, the belt things upon us , and them in a- bundance. Secondly, In that thofe good things are expref byfatnefs, or by seing full of fatnefs, Note ; The Lord thinks nothing toogood for hisgood people. Whenonce a people,or a perfon are accepted ofGod,he fpares no colt, nor thinks any thing too cofly for them, the moil delici- ous things in the wo-Id are not too good for them,( Pfeil, f t . i 6 ) Hewould have fed them alfowith the finch of the wheat, and with honey out of the rocks JboaldI have fatisfied thee.
