God is no more inone place of the world chan in anoLher,as to his being and exifience; for he is everywne: e,he lillethheav n and earth. We truli not think that God is taut up in the clouds as a man in his tabernacle ; but becaufe God workes much in the clouds, and do:h great things by the rain, thunder and lightening, therefore the cloudes, whence there Meteorsiffue, are called his tabernacle. Where-ever God works much, he is laid to dwell, Why isGod laid todwell with them that are of an humble and contrite heart ? even becaufe he wo:kes much in them, and much by them. So becaufe many great works of God are done in the Clouds, as we lhall fee more particularly hereafter, therefore the Lord is laid to dwell there as in his tabernacle. Secondly, When 'tisraid, who can underJland thenoire of his tabernacle ? Obferve ; The moll dreadfulJlorms and tewpeJ?sgif 'boaringwinds which we hear at any time, are lent out by God , they are the noife of his tabernacle ; They go when he faith go, (Tfal. 148. 8.) Stormywinds and tempefs fulfillinghis Will, We may think,flormes,of all things,ieali under command and order, yetthey are under an exa6} order. Themoli fiormy winds go not an haires breadth befldes, or be- yond the commiffion which God gives them. As often as we hear the roaring noireof the wind, muchmore, of thunder, let us re- member, 'tis the wife ofhis tabernacle. Verf.3o.
