Chap. 39 An E.vpofition upon the Book,of J o B. Verf. 3o. 493 CO eternal life, (job. o. 5i, 53.) Though the railed and glo- rified body of C:hriti be entted into the full poffeffion of a divine and eternal life , and though we by faith look to Jefus Chril , not according to the fle(h , nor as dead , but as living and fitting for ever at the right hand of the Fathe's there making intercefiiion for us ; yet we mutt look to him as entring into the holy place by the facrifice of him/elf, and with his own blood, not with the blood of others (Heb. 9. 24, 25,x6.) The Apollle told the Corinthians, Idetermined to know nothing among you, but yefsts Chrifi and him crucified ; that is, fo to know bim as to feed upon him my fell, and fo to make him known to you, that you might feed upon him allo. And there two wings given the Church, are Paid to be the two wings of an Eagle, becaufe among all the winged tribes, Eagles are fl'ongefl and fwiftefl of wing; they can fly faflefl, and they can flyfurtheft, as in height, fo in length. Nor are the wings given the Church, barely called the wings of anEagle, but of a great Eagle, implying not only thebefl kind of wings, but the b:fl wings of than kind ; not only the wings of an Eagle, but of a great Eagle.
