02 Chap. 4o. an Expoftion upon the Book of o B. Verf. g., a. &riperipm i. x. Pmperium . f iitant. Hencenote ; All the creatures were made for mans fervice, and were orce his fervants. And therefore when creatures will not ferve us, efpecialiy when they rife againfi us, we fhouid remember, as our fall in Adam, fo cur on failings in the ferviceof God. The unier- viceablenefs of the creature to us, is a fruit and aneffe& of our unierviceablenefs and difobediencetoGod. That word of God (Gen. I. 25.) which I may call the charter of mans Lordfhip o- ver the creature, reached Leviathan himfelf; And God bleffed them, and god Paid, be fruitful, and multiply and replenifh the earth, and fubdue it, and have dominion over the fifh of the Sea, &c. that includes dominion over the Leviathan.
