The man of God anfwered, The Lorda able to give thee muchmore than this ; Do thou obey the Lords command, and do noc trouble thy felf about the hundred talents, the Lord is able to give thee more than this. This bath been the guellion of many, when called to fuller, what (hall we do for the hundred talents ? what (hall we do for our worldly fubfiance, and fubfifience ? what (hall we do for a lively-hood ?I may fay as the Prophet then did, the Lord is able to give you abundantly more than what you lofe . for him. Sixthly, As we fhould not fear to lofe for the Lord's fake, fo let au not forbear to give for the Lords fake. Some are afraid to give for the Lords fake, to fupply the necellities of their bre- thren ; but remember, whatyou give to the poor, you lend to the Lord, and to fuch a Lord -as bath all things under the whole hea- ven for his. If we give, the Lord is able to repay us. The Apo- file makes ufe of this very argument (Phil. 4. r 8. 19.) Seventhly, If all under the whole heaven be the Lords ? then . all places are the Lords. This iscomfort to thole, who are at any time Gods outcafts ; he can fay to any place, as he did to (Moab (Ifa. 16. 4.) Let mine outcafts dwell with thee, !cc. All coun- triesare the Lords, he can make room for his in any part of the world, for all the world is his. The Lord provided a place for the Church (Rev. r a. 6, 14.) when (he was can' out,The Church fled into the wildernefs, where fhe had a place prepared of God. The wildernefs was her troublefome condition, but the Lord provided a place for her then and there.
