What the Pfalmifl fpeaks concerning the works of providence, is true of theLords works innature (Pfal. I 1 a. 2.) The works of the Lord aregreat. And (verf 4.) He bath made biswonderful works to be remembred; that is, that they fhould be fpoken of and memoriz'd. And thereforehaving laid at the beginning of the fecond verfe, The work¢ of the Lord are great, he adds in the doleof ir, Sought out of all them thatbave pleafure therein. His work is honourable and gloriouf, &c. The works of God are to be fearched to the bottom (though their bottom cannot be found) by all thole that have pleafure, anddelight either in God,or in his works;and they therefore fearch them our alto, becaufe they encreafe and better their knowledge of God the Creator, by encreafing and better ing their knowledge about the creature. From the whole verle we may infer, Pirt, If God will not conceal the parts, the power,and comli- nefs ofhis creatures then let not to conceal thepower, theglory, and the excellencyof God Yea, let us with heart and tongue declare the glòriousperfections of God, how holy, how jut, how wife, howmerciful, howpatient and long-fuffering a God he is.
