Who is in Heaven ? who is on high ? youmay know whom he meanes when he faith, lie that is in Heaven, he that is onhigh, though his name be not exprett. There are Angels in Heaven, but they are nothing compared to God : there are the fouls of jut{ men departed, and made perfét, in heaven, but they are nothing compared to God : there's no name in heaven but God, God is all in all in heaven, and he fhould take up all our hearts and thoughts while we are on earth, of- , pecially when we difcourfe of heaven. Hence obferve, Though Godbe every where,yet he is efpecially in heaven. God is upon the earth, yea God is in hell, If Imake my Bed in bell thou art there, Pfal. 139. 8. yet when job as faith upon God, he faith not, I have a witnefs on earth, but my witnefs is in heaven, Pfal. 24. He that fitteth in heavenJhall laugh, the Lord(hall have them in derif :on. God doth not fit as circumfcribed in heaven, but there the Scripture defcribes him fitting, Pfal. 123. I. Jefus Chritt fpeaks to God as in that place, and he fpeaks ofheaven as of a place, as ofa fpe- dial anddiaind place, to which he lifted up his eyes, when he prayed to his Father. There is a newDivinity, which tells us, that Heaven is every place, and everyplace is Heaven : But why did Chriü afcend, why was be carryed up, Luke 24.5r. when he went toheaven lifheaven be every where, there's uo.need of afcending to get into heaven, and we may as properly defcend into heaven as afcend up to heaven, if heaven be every where.
