It is matter ofhigheft and pure!t joy ro remember that grace ( whether we take it for the favour ofGod to fi liners, that they may be ¡unified or for thattheavenlyprinciple which the Spirt workes in the hearts of fnners, that he may be`fanétifled ) at the revelation of Jefus Chrift to the foule in convert-ion. When this grace is brought to i( and through the effeduall workingof the Spirit) received by tanners, there's joy in heaven, and therefore the thought of it fhould caufe joy on earth. Yet Our tranflation refers rather to the time future; girdup the loyne.t of your minds, &c. for the grace ¡to be brought at therevela Lion of 7efus Chrift. Jefus Chrift hath been revealed alreadie,buc he that' be revealedyet more plainly. But is that the time of grace ? We received grace at the fit-ft revealing of Chrift, (hall weeceivemore grace then? I anfwer, Grace maybe put for glory, or for that ufpeake- able favour and wonderful! love which fhall be givenout to the 'Saints when their bodies (hall be rayfed, and Chrift ap- peases to them in Glory. So the word grace is ufed ( ,Pet. 3. 7.) where the Apoftie exhorts h usbands and wives to walke according to knowledge, as /mires of thefame grace of life.
