A wicked man can take up on this fideGod, Cares not to find him, nay, is afraid to befound ofhim ; he then faith ( according to the text touched before ) as Ahab to Elijah, Haft thoufoundme Omine enemy ? He would be glad ifGodwould never find him, nor be finde God. (Pt: 1o. 4.) The wicked through the pride ofhis Countenance will not feeke after god. The feate ofpride is in the heart, but the profpeft of pride is in theface; through the prideofhis Countenance, that is, by reafon ofthat pride which doth difcover it fell in his Counte- nance, which breakesout there, he will not leeksafter god, his pride will not let him feeke after God. He that is proud,feeth not his need ofGod,and he that feed) not his needof God will never feeke after him. Such a one is fo farce from longing after Cod, or laying, O that I might knowwhere I might find him, that he will not fo much as look after hirn, when he is told where.he may be found. And not only fo, but, god is not in all his thoughts; oras tome render it, aNbis thoughts are, there ti noGod ; yea not onely areall his thoughts, but all his hopes are, that there is no God, if he canbut ftrengthen himfelfe in theunbeleefe ofa God, then
