Thy righteoufnle is tke great moontaines,thy judgements are agreat deepe.Take both together; Thy righteoufnefre is like great mountains, the mountains of God, that is, thy righteoufneffe indures, and remains inviolable. . But though it be fo, yet the execution and aftingi of thy righte- oufneffe are not alwaves decerneable, for thy judgements are a great deep; that is, when Godcloth execute, and put forth his righteoufneffe, few fee it, his judgements are it great deep, many deeps, who cango to the depth ofthem?how unfearchable are thy judgements? faith the Apottle, (Ruh. 11.33.) they are such & fo deep that nonecan reach the botrome ofthem; and therefore no wonder if they are rnvetimes hidden from thofe that know God. Secondly, Whereas 7,4 faith , Why feting times are net hiddrrs from the Almighty, doe they that know him, not fee his dayes? We may N )te. And that upon a twofold ground; firft, becaufe they h T7C the bell eyes, and fences molt exercifed to difcerne what God is do- ing. And this is, becaufe they have the heft internal! light, and pureft principles tomake this difcovery with ; So in the fecond place, becaufe they Rand fairdt in theeye ofGod,to have his pro- vidences manifefted and expounded to them.
