Dominionand feare are with hitt, Dominion, is that rupreame power that Godexercifeth over all things and perlons. The Hebrew is tlr,aly rendred thus; To rule is his ; wee fay, Dominion is with him. There are three things which we maycomprehend under the dominionof God. Firftt, His ftrength and mighty power, whereby be is able to fubdue all thingsunto him/elfe ; as the Apoftle fpcakes ( Phil. I. 2I ) Secondly, His authority, whereby he bath a right todoe what- foever he dosh. ( Dan. 4.35. ) Thirdly,His Efficiency,or the efficacy ofhis power, wherebyhe is able to cagy every thing through to the defired cffue (1143.13.) Many havegreat power, great authority,who yet want this kf .. cac & fficiency,they may undertake much,but theycannotcarry it through whereas in God there is a concurrence of thefe three, ftrength, authority, and efficacy, to bring to paffe whatever him - feife intendeth, or is pleafed todoe.
