And what doth he me.tne by the deeps which they feek? doe they Peek c .ves and dens of the earth to take counfel or con- fuit t(ig iherin ? re, they may be. in the open Gyre and yet feeke ¿cope to hide their counfels from God, fo that the meaning is they îeke to keep their counfels dole lockt up in their hearts ; but .voe unto them that digge thus deepe to hide their counfelis fromGod, for they cannot be hid, for even hell is before him, and delltudion bath no covering,how then (hall thefe deftroyets cover themieivcs or any of their counfels from him ? As the rea ion ofall things is naked and manifeft before God,fo are the mo- pions and a&ions ofall perlons. Thirdly, When 'cis laid, Heft and drfrtrufiion are before him that wordbefore, doth not onely imply that God bath a view or fight of what is in hel, but also that he bath power in and over hell, and can dowhat he will there ; hell is naked before kim,that is, hepath hellat his dill. `e. Hence note. The power andprovidence of god reaches to thole things that art ma.fi remote.
