Neereft natural Relations, wife children , friends, are dead to a difconfolate foule ; Greareit worldly pofiiffions ho flours and riches, houles and lands, thousands ofgold and filver, are favcurleffe to a diftreffed foule, lice goes mourning out of all thefe things, or mournes in the rnidft of them. The Scripture faith, (Pro. II, 4.) Riches profits not in the day ofwrath, but righteoufneffe deliveretbfromdeath. Riches are no advantage, no flicker at all to wicked men; when the wrath Of God breaks out upon them , and they are no better then poverty to a godly man, when the favourofGod is hidden from him. Wee cannot comfort any man in an evill day , br telling him of his baggs of gold and fliver,of his lands and houles, he goes mourning when fuch comforters have done and fpnken their heft, Secondly Thefe words, (as we tranflate) 1 went mourning without the Sunne, may fignitïe no more but this ; I was in fuch a mourning condition as had no cornf;rt at all in it.
