Is any Adoration due to theevilfpirits ? Anfw. No : for theyare Gods enemies, and accurfed ofhim, therefore noho- nour is due to them : neither arewe tohave any dealing with them at all, but utterlie to renounce whatfoever comes from them, or their infltumenrs,as Spells Charmes, Enchantments, &c. which ferve to work wonders, but have no fuch vertue fromGod,either by Creation, Nature, Word, or Inftitution. All .the worfhip that we owe them,isnomore but a reverend efleem of their; perfons, and imitationof their vertues:No religiousworthip is due to them, theyhaving nothing to dowith us, nor we with them. Quefl. Doth any Adoration belono to the unreafonable creatures ? Anfw.. No, there belongsnothing to them, but a reverend and holyufe of them. For Adoration is a ligne offubjeEtion in the Inferiour to the Superiour : but Man is their Superiour, and therefore is notto worfhip them : therefore not the reliques ofSaints, or the Bread and Wine in the Sacrament. Quell. Is any erldoration due to the works of the Creatures, viz. I- mages ? Anfw. None at all : For r. Its exprefly forbidden in the Second Commandment. 2.
