Three things are here prefuppofed: Firft, t-/1.17 that God in his decree of Reprobationdeal cth with the greater part ofmen after inch a cruel manner as is deícribed. Secondiy,that he doth this for no perfonall offenfe com- mitted by themfelves. Thirdly, that he doth it for a finne or offenfe imputed onely unto them. Grant him all this, and thenhe conceiveth abfolute Reprobation cannot [land with the mercy of God.. But all his three prefuppofals are falle. The decree of negative Reprobation is no determina- tion of any man to cruel torments wori then death but an abfolute determina- tion immanent in the Divine will of not- beílowing upon force angels and men that fpeciall effec`luall grace which would cer- tainly bring them to the incomprehenf- ble joyes of eternal' life.
