The goodneffe ofthe anion which God commandeth, the word com- manding, and the Spirit exciting thereunto, are good proofs unto you that God mean- eth ( that is, liketh, defireth, willeth ) that you fhould do thofe good things which he requireth : but they are not certain proofs that God intendeth or meaneth to remove all thofe wilfull obflacles which your felf may put, or to make you do that which your felfcareth not to do, nay flriveth not to do.
