Secondly, That it is a foolifh and de- vilifh kind of divination for any man to put and place himfelf in thenumber of the EleaorNon-eleaupon the mere uncertain fanfie of his own mind, or upon the ma- litious fuggeftion of the Tempter. Lafl- ly, when he is brought to confeffe, that he neither is nor can be certain what God in his eternall counfel decreed of him before the world was made, he is to be inftruaed to drive away the fear of his Non-elehion, and to gain force comfortable affurance of his Eleaion,by labouring todo thofe things which become the Elea children of God, and to avoid thofe things which areproper to the children of the devil.
